Meet Mandy-Leigh Hackart
Remedial Massage Therapist
RMT Mandy brings a wealth of experience in fitness, rehabilitation, and pain management to Platinum Spinal Centre. Originally from South Africa, she arrived in Australia in 2012 and quickly realised her previous qualifications in import/export customs and accounts wouldn’t translate into local employment. Instead of giving up, she decided to study and start her own business around her family.
Mandy began by earning her Cert III & IV in Fitness, focusing on group fitness for mothers who wanted to train outside of a traditional gym setting. Seeing how exercise improved their health, she expanded her skills to support recovery as well – becoming what she calls a “one-stop shop” for exercise and rehabilitation.
To help older clients, Mandy later took her skills into retirement communities, offering mobile elderly group fitness and massage therapy, ensuring that people of all ages could access quality care in a comfortable setting.

Mandy’s commitment to professional development is evident in her long list of qualifications, which include:
- Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy (2019)

She graduated from Evolve College in 2019 and completed her studies with Onfit College in 2024. In addition, she maintains CPR and First Aid certification and completes at least 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) annually through AMT for private health compliance.
A Passion for Helping Others
Mandy believes that massage therapy is more than just pain relief – it’s about helping people reconnect with their bodies, restore balance, and experience the healing power of human touch. “I LOVE a returning client because it shows me I’m doing what I love – helping people relax and recover.”
She is very passionate and dedicated to providing the best care for those who she meets in her life.
“Whether it is through my work or on the sports field, I care for others like family. With compassion and understanding, I am willing to share my knowledge of healthy, active lifestyle and care.”
Beyond the Practice Walls
Outside of work, Mandy loves spending time at the beach with her family, playing cricket, and umpiring junior matches. She’s also an avid hockey player and serves as Secretary of Sparks Hockey Club in Gladstone.
